Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Medway Cars Limited ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies on www.medwaycars.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we handle personal data.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the website owner. Some cookies are essential for a site to function; others help us understand how the site is used or remember your preferences.
How we use cookies
We keep our use of cookies deliberately minimal. Currently, this website uses only strictly necessary cookies — we do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not currently run analytics tracking on the site.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to work properly and can't be switched off. They're usually only set in response to actions you take, such as filling in a form. Without them, core features — like submitting an enquiry safely — wouldn't work.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| medway_admin_session | Keeps your session secure and protects forms on the site from being submitted fraudulently by other websites (a security measure known as CSRF protection). | Expires when you close your browser |
Cookies we don't currently use
We don't currently set analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), advertising or retargeting cookies, or third-party social media cookies on this site. If that changes in future — for example, if we add analytics to better understand how the site is used — we'll update this page to describe exactly what's added, and where required by law, ask for your consent first via a cookie banner.
Managing cookies
Because we only use a strictly necessary cookie, there isn't a meaningful way to disable it without affecting the site's basic functioning (some forms may stop working correctly). If you'd prefer, most browsers let you block or delete cookies generally through their settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all cookies will affect the usability of many websites, not just ours.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page whenever the cookies we use actually change, so it stays an accurate description of what's happening on the site rather than a generic template. Last reviewed: 12 September 2026.
